The engine is at Mike Rogers right now.  Lorenzo built it four years ago and it had oil pressure problems. He didn't want to hear anything about it. He told me it's because there are no baffles in the pan.  It was a race car for 15 years with that pan.  Well when we pulled the pan it does have baffles. Well the oil pick up was against the pan.  He left an oil galley plug loose and the rods were not getting oil and wiped all the brgs.  Note this motor has less than 100 miles on it.  The rings were getting no oil and wiped the rings and scored the cylinder walls. Two of the roller cam brgs. Lorenzo installed have moved. One cyl. looks like it might have had water in it.  Mike is checking the block and head for cracks. Other than that his rebuild was perfect.  Glad I had Ram Racing do the heads.

Yea gonna need it to tighten things up. Motor build started out as a freshen up but ended up changing everything... still going to be a S/B under 400". Not planing on any class racing just going to be a street car. Jack when you were street driving your camaro what stall were you running and what gear?

Gear was 4.10 with 28x10x15 tire.
Converter flashed to 48-5200(i think)
If you footbrake it. It would go to 2500 then the car would begin to push through the brakes.
I think converter was a 9".
When you order your converter. Tell the car is street driven...
With your setup.(if you are running the same setup) Converter will be a little tight....

I already have the converter.... 10" 3800/4200 advertized stall. I was just worried about all the heat that thing is going to generate. i have a big cooler and a bigger pan for the trans so i should be ok. My self and a buddy are going to do the cage. S&W makes a nice 8pt for my car witch lets me retain the use of the back seat and I can leave the stock door panels on. Other than the motor this is a complete DIY project... myself,my son and a few friends will be doing all the work. Cant wait till spring!!!

Get a trans cooler with a fan on it ..It will help in keep it cool. I have on on mine. I use it if I get stuck in traffic..

No news yet.  He's working on other stuff.  JD's has been using him for a while with great results on entire engines.  Every engine JD had Lorenzo build came back with problems.  Don't know how he stays in business.  It must be that he builds mostly race engines and when the have problems, oh well that's racing.  Every one of the street engines he built for JD had problems.

That's why I'm having a ductless heat pump put in my garage.  It's too cold to work in there. I'll have A/C for the summer too.
